Kimmy England - Physique & Figure, Emerald Cup 2019
Kimmy England did double duty at the Emerald Cup, competing in two categories, figure and physique. She walked away with second place in both categories.
What was your biggest obstacle on the road to the 2019 Emerald Cup stage and how did you conquer it?
My biggest challenge was believing in myself. I came from a background where I was always told I was small. Today I pushed myself to get on a stage outside of Alaska in Washington in a very, very competitive group and ended up coming out in second in both my categories (figure and physique).
What was your Emerald Cup 2019 highlight?
The fact that I placed second. I came here with expectations of hopefully placing in the top five and I went home with second place in both of my categories.

After Emerald Cup, what goals will you work toward?
I will follow the judges' feedback I received that maybe taking a year off would be good to work on building up my physique. I'm going to work on pushing into women's physique, hopefully at a national level in 2020.
How many years have you been training?
I've been training since 2012. That is when I did my first competition in figure. I have done figure for at least three years and then I took a break in 2015 due to a lower back injury. I had to recover for a while and then I came back in 2019 for figure and physique.
